AIDA, whose name is an acronym for "Artifically Intelligent Diagnostics Android", is the deuteragonist of Diagnostech. She is a robot who assists Emma in diagnosing and repairing machines.

Appearance
AIDA is an anthropomorphic robot with large arms, a slim body and legs, anda rounded rectangular head. Her face is a dark-blue LED screen that displays her various expressions.
Personality
AIDA is a polite, eager-to-please robot who's intricate learning program makes her curious about everything in the outside world. As she is confined to the lab by Emma, her creator, inside the Diagnostech lab most of the time, AIDA is always pleasantly surprised by anything she doesn't immediately understand, especially organic living beings like plants and animals. She's especially fond of small, fluffy animals and hopes that one day technology may progress enough for her to feel it when she pets them.
She doesn't get very many opportunities to do so, as Emma is incredibly protective of her. While this frustrates AIDA somewhat, she's empathetic towards Emma's anxieties and understands her more than anyone else. The two are a near inseprable duo who hope to strengthen humanity's relationship with technology as something to amplify them rather than replace them outright.

AIDA has known Emma for her entire existence. She knows Emma inside and out and is infinitely fascinated by her behavior, feeling there is always something to learn about her human companion. The two often discuss their thoughts about what it means to be "alive", in regards to being a human and a machine.
Story
Case 1
A few months after opening Diagnostech's doors, AIDA and Emma are scheduled to meet with an interesting customer. More specifically, a reporter who agreed to give their business some good coverage if the two could successfully repair her laptop. Before they begin the operation, Emma walks AIDA through all their routine steps to show off for the reporter. The reporter reuqests that they restore the data that she'd transferred onto a USB drive, however, Emma suspects it may contain malware. She asks AIDA to run a scan on it and is unable to detect any, so the two agree to plug it into AIDA so she may recover the files.
The reporter's computer is successfully repaired and she thanks the two before leaving their office. Emma departs for the night, leaving AIDA in a safe containment unit within the lab. However, right before she shuts down for the night, AIDA's screen flickers an odd green color.
